1. Why Ibogaine?
I heard through a friend that he also struggled with addiction. Personally, I’ve had a pretty long battle with opiates, mainly heroin, in the past 10 years. It’s been something I just haven’t had a lot of success in shaking for any about of time.
2. Ibogaine University experience?
I couldn’t even imagine the amount of warmth and comfort level I felt from top to bottom. It’s really amazing what they do here. It’s a life changing moment. I used the analogy of getting a new pair of glasses. How everything in the world looks different. It’s clear and you see everything you’ve been missing for so long when you can’t see properly. And that’s the best way I can compare it. It’s like having a lens removed from your eyes. The world seems like a bigger place, not smaller.
3. Withdrawal symptoms?
I was surprised. I came out of it and I actually felt better than I which was really surprising, because I heard there was, sometimes, a day or two to recover. But I felt great automatically.
4. Most valued support?
I think I did get a lot out of the groups. I never saw myself as a really open person with my deep emotions. Especially pain. Being able to let that go in a group setting was very freeing for me. I think it did me a lot of good. The councilors here made it very easy for me to do so. I know that wearing a lot more stability can calm your home, and I’m hoping we all can flourish by taking this step in the future. It looks bright. I’m really happy.
